Bioinformatics uses a lot of Python. But you asked about medical equipment so I would say it's a mix of C and Assembly code.

    Since the English language is the most spread language in the world, it is the official business language. It is also used as main language in the aeronautical world both for communications and documents. My guess is that medical language on an international level should be English as well, so that everybody can understand without too many difficulties.
