Advantages: lots of job options, availability of jobs, salary you can live on, sense of purpose
Disadvantages: Emotionally and physically tiring work, lack of a voice as part of the team(in some positions)
Starting salary in smaller cities in the North East is between 22 and 25 an hour.

Don’t go into nursing (or any career for that matter) just for the salary.
Also dont’ let anyone kid you by saying nursing is easy.
One of the best advantages of being a nurse is that there are so many areas in which you can work.
Ask yourself, why you want to become a nurse first.

my dear be a nurse because its your calling, if you join nursing just because of the pay you shall end up being the most frustrated fellow,we enjoy being nurses because our joy is complete when serving the patients and seeing them wake up from their beds healthy and full of life.
