There was a day when people felt the need to believe in something bigger than them. Many believe that science has proved that the world evolved. I myself am an evolutionist.
For all your statements that only idiots would still believe in God, this knowledge that science has brought you did not eliminate the need to believe in something bigger than you. Just as you say that the Religious are sheep and might as well believe in Santa, you yourself worship and follow a God. Your God is celebrity. ANYTHING a celebrity (politicians included) says you believe and worship.
There is a book out. It’s been on TV and in the papers. Scientists and Psychologists are studying the phenomenon, liberal lemmings and their new religion, Political Correctness. Even before I heard of this recently, I have often wondered about celebrity worship and equated it to a religious experience in conversation to friends and family.
Under this religion, people are so fragile that differences of opinion may not be stated. To prefer a strawberry over a blueberry is to discriminate against the blueberry. There is a story in your reading book at school about a famous white man? FOR SHAME.! You are only important if you are an ethnicity. So what if the white man built every damn thing here! Do not teach your children to protect themselves. To do so, you would have to say bad things about some people. That is discrimination! "Sweetheart, that drooling man with the track marks on his arm and the shotgun is nothing to worry about". There is NO bad person in this religion. Unfortunately, there is NO good person either. If this is so, how come the powers that be have so many bodyguards and don’t hang out with the hoi polloi?
Much like Catholicism, this religion relies heavily upon guilt. Feel guilty for your very existence! Because of YOU precious resources are being depleted! Trees cut down, carbon emitted, stalks of corn being murdered. "Don't flush it down, until it turns brown" so I can have my beauty and mud packs, salt scrub showers, saunas and a lavish fountain in front of my Beverly Hills (or Pennsylvania Avenue) mansion. Drive a tiny, battery operated car (like I do on Rodeo Drive) so small that your family will be killed instantly in a rush hour crash (medical bill money saver too!) so that I can travel in a limo or fly to different island each weekend. Or have an AF1 photo op over NYC.
Like other religions, money is a source of shame. Of course it's only those who already HAVE money that preach that. They think you should feel good about your money going to someone who never made an effort to earn any. They think your standard of living is too high. A vacation once a decade, what’s the beef? A ten year old car? Do you know how many people don’t have a car? For some reason the PCR followers buy into it anyway. They never wonder what motivates the earners to earn or what may unmotivate them.
Just like seas being parted and endless supplies of fish there is fantasy to this new religion. Work hard, but give the fruits of that work away. Protect me, but don't harm a terrorist. Find out the bombing plan in advance of detonation, but don't torture. Know where the drug deal is going down, but don’t wiretap. Make a strong military, but don't DO anything with it. Get out of the Middle East; they WANT a terrorist government over there. It's none of our gosh darn business anyway.
You’ve convinced yourselves that you are making the world a better place with your PCR, but all you are really doing is erasing the self. You are eliminating Mother Nature’s (or God’s if that is your belief) excellence that is within us all.
We aren't the cause of ALL the ugliness and we can't control it all. Life is messy and imperfect, but we do have the right to live, prosper, be proud of what we’ve accomplished and happy without having to feel shame that we are taking up space on the planet.

Secondly, PC is not a religion, it is a feel good lifestyle. Why do you want to run around offending people? What kind of sociopath are you?

True enough, but remember that we are going to have to accept and work with an entire generation of people who are totally out of their heads. They need help and reason, and they are immune to direct confrontation and shame.

no, remember, even science is based on assumptions and theories. At one point science thought the earth to be flat. New discoveries change our reality constantly. You cannot scientifically prove the existence of God but you cannot disprove it either. Dobn’t worry about science and logic, they are only what we can see in our limited human capacity. I mean, radio waves are all around us but cannot be seen. Yet they still exist right? Even without a radio to "prove" them? It takes "belief" to believe in science or religion. That’s why I eschew BOTH!!
