okay today i was out and saw a man with his dog and i leaned down to pet it and got bit. it was a small dog and only 1 puncture hole (there i have a pic of it listed below) and is a little red. it never hurt badly or even bleed really (just a couple of drops) and ran to my school and washed it out with hand soap and hot water. I then went home and used peroxide and scrubbed with a tooth brush lol. it doesn't hurt or anything
also the man with the dog said he was bit when he first got it.
and then as i was about to run to the school another kid got bit on the leg
do i need medical attention?

First thing first, you need to report this animal bite to the authorities. If this dog has bit people before it’s going to continue to bite people. The man should have the dog put to sleep, trained, or keep it away from people.
Second, it’s a strange dog..you need to seek medical attention. Rabies isn’t the only thing that might have been wrong with that dog and you’ll never know if you got something from it unless you go get checked out.
Third, be more weary of petting strange dogs. Always ask for permission to pet the animal first and always ask if the dog bites.

you want to make sure the dog has been treated for rabies and get a tetanus shot

did you ask to pet the dog before you petted him? Did the man tell you he bites? You got bit. You should report it he had a dog the he knew that bites out and around children.
As long as the dog was up on his vaccines you shouldn’t need medical attention. if you don’t know I’d get it looked at

Yes, you need medical attention. Also this needs to be reported. Sorry to day this dog should be put to sleep or the owner should have it around other people. It is a dangerous dog.

I would say no, you don’t need medical attention. My dog has scratched me worse than that =)

well , u missed ur chance. if u played like ur in shock, u could earn something out of thins.
anyways, a dog shouldn’t bite, well, the normal one shouldn’t, so seriously, u should report it.

if you live in an area where there may be rabies then yes just to be on the safe side but otherwise no. this is why you shouldnt pet strange dogs

you did good by washing it right away but if this dog bit another in the same day i would report it and yes go to the doctor any way to have it looked at so it doesnt get infected also check and see if the dogs upto date on his shots mainly his rabies this is serious so go now and do this they cant stich a dog bite but they can treat you at the hospital but PLEASE REPORT THIS DOG TO THE POLICE Now!!!!!!!!!! amnd get your bite taken care of

You did not get bit, you were bitten. The small puncture wound was not from an aggressive dog. I do not think that you need medical attention. Perhaps you should seek help from your English teacher. My apologies if you are very young.
