How did you support yourself during nursing school?

Im thinking about going to nursing school, but you have to have your schedule open from 8-.5. (Granted that you make it in the actual program). I wouldn't even want to have a job with a demanding schedule like this. I have a young child (22mo), how can I support the both of us during nursing school? Im going for my AA. I live with my mom and 7 other relatives. If I get into this program, I would need ZERO distractions, but I still need money.

    I worked as a CNA 16 hours each weekend + 4 hours here and there during the week.
