I am so frustrated and angry.. please help!?

I had an observation the other day at a doctors office for a job and it was between me and this other girl the same age as me and come to find out they hired her over me which i dont understand why because when they called me to tell me to come in for the observation to wear scrubs if i had any. Well i did and i wore them. The other girl didnt. I was also there on time and she was late!!!! At the end of the observation they told us they were gonna make a decision and call us later on who they picked.. well when they called me they said they hired her b/c they thought she had more medical experience and asked me if i wanted them to hold my application just in case. I told them yes but I felt like going off on her and just getting mad! They paid me but i dont even know how to pick up the check b/c i didnt listen to what she told me to do b/c i was so mad. that girl and i are both healthcare students too! i just hate those ppl and dont even want to work for them if they ever call me!

Help you with what? They thought she was more qualified, get over it. That’s how the real world works. Go volunteer somewhere to get more experience.

Did you place this exact same question a week ago because if you didnt I dreamt it , Seriously every detsail was the same about the scrubs and they hired her because she was more experienced . Did you.?

that problem happened to my dad.
maybe she was late for a good reason
maybe she didnt wear scrubs b/c she doesnt have one
you cant be mad to a person w/o knowing the ryt reasons and it was actually ryt they take her.they r looking for a person who has more experience,not who is most impressive!
u cant be mad with her,thats why u do interviews, to find the best person u could get!
i think ur just dissapointed u didnt get the job and ur blaming it all to her.

Call them back tell them you changed your mind about them holding your application, & tell them to just mail you your check. Then they will either tell you how to get it or mail it to you.

I would absolutely love it if more employers would be that honest and frank with their applicants. I understand it can be upsetting to get a call like that but be grateful they gave you an explanation. It is much worse when they don’t tell you why and you have no idea what you might be doing wrong and therefore cannot fix it.
Also don’t take it personally. It doesn’t mean they have anything against you because they they thought the other girl was more experienced. Remember that they can’t hire everyone so they have to reject people sometimes and it’s unfair to them to be angry at them for it.
