I have spine injuries healing, is Hairdressing going to worsen my back?
Discount Medical Scrubs
I am coming out of a Worker's Compensation Case, that just settled. I settled my Workers' comp case because I had reached MMI for a herniation at my tailbone and the insurance company was denying Vocational Rehabilitation to me, there wasn't going to be any more medical done on me.I was told by several doctors I was not a candidate for surgery. I was in a car accident in my fiance's car, just before my hearing for this Vocational Rehab. We were rear ended by someone not paying attention and it twisted my upper spine and jammed it up. I settled the first injury considering both cases were going to get involved and make both situations worst, and me finding myself work would be more useful than the insurance company hiring someone to hold a paycheck over my head and cut off my wages. I have been contemplating the local Paul Mitchell hair school. Here are my reasons, Heavy scrubbing repetitive head to toe bending, hard core back scrubbing kills me, my only skill is Janitorial or Retail. Sitting in one position all day hurts me too, so deskwork (lack of skills ne ways), so I figured being on my feet and moving around would be better for me. Are there any hairdressers out there with some advice on how you handle your back at your job? Is this a bad idea?

This could be a bad idea due to the situation with your back, but I would recommend checking with your regular doctor as well to see what they say.
