Need help choosing a career?
Discount Medical Scrubs
Ok. I was looking into Diagnostic Medical Sonography but it seems you can't just jump right into it after highschool. Apparently you need some credits & experience in the health field? So, now I'm shifted to Dental Hygienist. After reading that it only takes 2 years of schooling & high pay, I was basically SOLD. but.. I don't think I'll be good with my hands, I'm a naturally shaky person.
haha...
And then there's Information Technology? completely not in the medical field.. but i'll be working with computers which I LOVE. Problem is, I have no idea what this career is specifically.. Am I going to be taking calls & helping people fix their computers? Or am I going to be doing never ending research? where would I work? -sighs-
Another career (medical field again), Is radiation Therapist. Don't really have a problem with this.. but I'm not too excited about It.. seems kinda depressing.
which of these careers would YOU choose & why?
which makes the most money/which makes the less? (starting salary)
Information Technology? Huh? I do like computers..
These careers are 4 years or less right?
Also, I hate scrubs. I've always wanted a job where I'd dress professionally to work.
Any other career ideas? only 4 years or less of college please.
This is a crazy question.
& where I'm at now in education? In September I'll start my senior year of High School.
I just don't know what I want. Not everybody have callings, you know :/.

You don’t HAVE to have experience in the health care field for Sonography. Some programs require a prior degree while others only require you to take certain pre-requisite courses before you can apply to the program. So don’t let that be the reason you change your mind on DMS. And just FYI, these pre-req/general education courses are required for any program (like Dental Hygiene, Radiation Therapy, etc.)
The market is terrible for Dental Hygiene right now. You will be lucky to find a part time position.
Try job shadowing these careers that you’re interested in and then see how you feel about each one. Good luck
