Question about my face (please help out)?
Discount Medical Scrubs
My skin tone is brown (I'm mixed Argentine/Dominican) but my face seems to be darker than that of my chest, arms and legs.
I don't get that much sun really partly because I am always at work in an office for more than 80 hours a week. However, my face is dark, dull and I wanted to know if there is a way to reduce this look. I do use this http://www.menscience.com/Microfine-Face-Scrub_p_4-10.html as my face wash every day
.
So, why is my face still dark eventhough I use exfoliation, I am hardly in the sun and I have no medical problems what so ever?
Is that product going to help "lighten" me and if so, how many times should I use it a week?
Also, is i possible that too much exfoliation has caused my skin to get dark? I heard of this whole friction thing. Any tips would be nice. It's just that in a family photo I look adopted. jk
I really appreciate all the answers.

Hii!
i think firstly that all the exfoliation is a bit too much for the skin, because the skin naturally tries to produce a bit of its own oils to protect itself..don’t exfoliate everyday, just once to 3times a week maximum or it’ll dry out the skin ( in my case, i started exfoliating everyday and ended up with pimples, when usually i never get any!! AHHH!!!).
, theres also a facewash which is softer and better for everyday usage : http://www.menscience.com/Daily-Face-Wash_p_4-9.html
The facescrub you use should be fine i guess
You’re on the right track with a bit of exfoliation and a good facewash, another thing to try aswell in ur case might be a bit of radiance boosting, or lightening creams (also known as fairness creams).
so basically, fairness creams are supposed to lighten your skin tone, but be careful when using and choosing as some of these products can be very harsh on sensitive skin and can cause burning and/or itching. Avoid anything that contains bleach or peroxide.
I got some options in the links below seem to look good, and there are some reviews of products aswell that might help,,,
lasssst but not least , even though you dont get much sun, simple daily activities like driving can give u quite a tan, so invest in a good sunblock with a high SPF =)

never leave the house without putting that on..
plus, if everything else fails, you could always consult a skin proffessional like a dermatologist, and they’ll know exactly what may be the issue and how to solve it
Good luck, hope something helps you out!!

Hey I am Dominican too. If you out lotion on your face, it will darken a little more at first but it will lighten after your face gets use to it.
Answer my quesion. Please and Thanx!

Too much exfoliation won’t darken skin unless you are scrubbing your skin raw. Then it can cause hyperpigmentation. So be gentle.
That product has the right ingredients to help lighten your skin and if you use it every day (once a day is enough) you should see a difference in about 6 weeks. There are also skin bleaching creams that lighten the skin considerably. You can get these at any pharmacy in the skin care section.
Also, unless you never see sunlight (which may be the case with your schedule; 80 hours a week?!), you should be wearing sunblock. Even 15 minutes of sun, driving to or from work, going out at lunch, etc., can darken skin.
