Should my husband and I to go through nursing school together?
Discount Medical Scrubs
We are both interested in the nursing program. We wanted to go to school together and work as a team. We aren't planning on working together in the future.
He is interested in Nursing Informatics. I'm interested in being a Certified Nurse Midwife.
Would we both have to start in nursing school as an RN, then further our education in our specific field of interest?
Not sure how to go about this.
Thanks!

Check with the nursing program first to see if there will be any problem with this especially when it comes to scheduling for clinicals. Many hospitals have rules about husband and wife working together on the same unit. This may also apply to students as well.
If you can work it out and it doesn’t interfere with your personal lives, there shouldn’t be any reason why both of you can’t go to nursing school together as long as there are no jealousy or hurt feelings about grades or attention between the two of you.

No. I think it’s bad on relationships to be around each other too long. Also, it’s probably a good idea to have different careers as it may help cushion each other in case one industry goes bad.
