Unit clerk attire and more?
Discount Medical Scrubs
I am being interviewed at a major local hospital on Thursday. (Medical College of Georgia) for the position of a Unit Clerk in Prenatal care.
1. What are many of the tasks that a unit clerk does within the hospital and her area?
2. At a major hospital is a unit clerk desinanted to wear scrubs or professional attire?
3. What are some of the points I should stress at my interview for an amazing outcome?
I'm young (19) but I have one quarter left at a local technical school to receive my medical transcription certificate. I want to come off as a young lady that knows that she wants this job as a foot in the door. I know I will act myself but I also would like some pointers. The lady that I will be talking to seems very laid back and seems like she will be easy to talk to but I would like any pointers that would make my chances higher when speaking to her.
Thank you in advance!

stress your excitment upon entering the medical field, friendly, polite, good organization, good listener, quick learner, muti tasking, good people skills, phone skills, computer skills, handles down time in a constuctive way, prompt and flexible in your work hours or days…our clerks have a dress code of navy blue pants and white shirt and badge…ours handle the phones, communicate with nurses, physicians, families, other hospital depts…put the orders into the computer, call the physicians, handle having to do many things at the same time from many diff people, appear calm and confident even during stress and chaos…
