What do nursing school packets consent of, and do you have to be in perfect health to get into the program?
Discount Medical Scrubs
I'm getting ready to become a nursing major and I've been told that i would have to fill out a nursing packet after passing my exam. I'm just curious what do nursing school packets consent of? What health requirements must I have in order to be in the program...I have health issues such as diabetis but its under control....Do you have to be in perfect health in order to get into a nursing program?

Well to start off, congrats on making it into the nursing field!! It is going to be a long road and takes a lot of strength, patience & hard work! I am a nursing student as well and it is not the easiest major to accomplish at all. There will be nights where you just want to get in bed and crash but you have to stay up all night to prepare for your test the next day. With that said, I am sure you will do great!
So when you first enter into the program you take the tests that are required and then they have different packets for you to fill out. Depending on what school you are going to every packet is different. My school had a few packets, one of them was a packet to prepare you for the course that consisted of like math worksheets, study guides, flash cards, things for you to read and study. That way when you enter you wont be completely lost, another packet in there is for your physical exam stuff and making sure you have all the records that are required of you to do your clinical rotations. They might have like cost and payment options in there as well so that you know how much you will be paying throughout school. And then just any other information that you HAVE to know.
To answer your question about health……..NO!! ……you don’t have to be in the best health because I actually don’t have the best health either. I have medical issues and still got accepted in.
So DON’T WORRY =)
Hope that cleared things up for you. Once again good job and remember to always stick in there even when it gets really hard!!!!!!
