I’m currently working on my BSN, and I want to know if it’s possible to use that to become a Pediatric Doctor after that? and does anyone know where i could find the requirements for med school that would apply to this idea? Thanks!

i’v finaly figured what i want to do with my life i want to become a doctor and at the same time i want to help people around the world are there any programs that allow that or at least give some training for a 15 year old kid where i can least experience what its like

how many hours does an ER doc work a week? How much does a doc typically make in boston mass? how many years of what school must i attend? how much does med school cost? is it hard to find a job once you get your degree? what is the typical starting salary and how much does it increase a year?

I have just lost, my job age 28. I was a business analyst. A respected job that pays about 35k a year. I am thinking of doing something more meaningful and less likely to loose in the future and was thinking of retraining as a doctor (in the UK). Only problem is that I would need to do a 6 year degree there seems to be alot of “stop points” that might mean i fail e.g. I need to pass an entry to medicine qualification but i need to pass at top levels, I need to apply for uni but there are lots of other people with better qualifications than me, if i get in to uni I need to take a logic test. If i pass the logic test i need to pass the degree itself after that its fine because im earning and the rest of the training is simple but the issue is that at each of these stop points I risk having committed lots of money and still no being able to get in / finish. What would you do? go for it or find another job (although the current labour market is poor so no guarantees there)

I am an Australian trained doctor considering working in the US for a while. What are the barriers that I need to overcome to do this? My specialty is General Practice.

I’m a 4th year female med student. I was working for 2 weeks in the same hospital as this male intern (1st year doctor-in-training) who was very nice & kind… sort of quiet. We talked 3 or 4 times (in the morning before starting work). Then he was placed back to the main training hospital.
Three months later I started a med student rotation in the same hospital and bumped into him on the way out after work. I didn’t see him when he just came up from behind and said “Hey, how’s it going?” We talked while walking to the parking lot, He remembered everything about me I had mentioned 3 months prior! We reached the lot and went our separate ways. He seemed glad to have had bumped into me, though we didn’t really know eachother.
Recently (another 2months later) I saw him at my local Church. Is this a coincidence or what? I live in a large major city and I’ve never seen him there before.
