Is This Health Care Bill The “tipping Point” Against Government That $4/gal Gas Was For The Oil Industry?

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

It seems that the populace is now more engaged in politics than they ever were before. Poll numbers in support of this bill have dropped successfully with each poll. Now Lieberman and Lincoln and Nelson are defecting.
Was this it? Obama finally overreached? Icarus flew too high?

How Is ‘government Run Health Care’ Any Worse Than ‘health Insurance Executive Run Health Care’?

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

Please, elaborate. I hope you don't think the health insurance industry gives a damn about anything other than making a profit. As evidenced by the fact that 14,000 Americans lose their health insurance everyday. The government wants everyone to get care, and in the process, eliminate waste and things that deny people coverage and bankrupt thousands of Americans that do have health insurance.

Health Care For All ?? Government Lies Is The Problem ?

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

The problem with the health care debate is that somehow the government has become the central agent of change and leadership, instead of the creative forces of freethinking individuals. The most unfortunate thing is that this problem is not confined to the health care industry, but that it permeates the political thinking of American life in all of its facets.

Not only do WE not know what is being done with the "stimulus" money, THEY don't either. So much for transparency and change. Those who voted for Obama sure are kicking themselves for believing his mantra and rhetoric and for those who still support him, they are a lost cause and should feel equally responsible for the downfall of America.

Who Believes That The Government Can Run Health Care?

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Given the government's history with Social Security and Medicare does anyone believe that the US government can do a better job of running our nation's health care system? I work in the Health Care industry so here is some food for thought that I know to be fact:
When the government pays for a health care service they pay bottom dollar.
The low government reimbursement causes health care providers to make it up from the private sector via increased insurance premiums which winds up being passed down to the paying consumer.
Low reimbursements reduces the number of available health care professionals because they cannot compete and go out of business
Fewer health care professionals result in longer wait times.
All of this will only get worse when government controls the whole health care system and people will no longer have incentive to spend 12 years in school and incur 100's of thousands of dollars in debt because they will not make enough money to pay off the debt. Not to mention that on average the government operates at about a 30% efficiency rate meaning for every dollar they take in 70 cents goes to government overhead. So how will they be able to do a better job
