When you consider how well they manage our budgets, handle our debt, educate our children, maintain our infrastructure, handle foreign affairs, protect our borders, manage social security, manage medicaid and protect us from fire, flood and crime?
Why would I leave my life long health-care options to the whims of this administration or the next?
Why would I want the price of my private coverage to increase due to the new taxes imposed on it pay for the public option?
Why would I want to give government the right to force me into paying for the public plan if I have no other option?
Why would I even think to give our government another chance at a health-care over-haul when the last one gave us HMO's? Thanks Hillary!
Why after the debacle this administration has made of the auto industry would I ever trust them to do better with the health-care industry?

Is this a republic or an autocracy?

It will be as efficient as the postal system. And have the compassion of the I.R.S.

USPS, Social Security and Medicare are all inefficient money pits.

Hillary's question is so dangerous. It points to government run health care and socialized medicine (Hillary is not, after all, in the private health care industry). Government run health care will restrict choices and punish people...that is what governments do. Recall that her health care proposals in the 90s included provisions for people to go to JAIL!
So...what should we do to educated people on the absolute danger of Hilllary Care?

My parents were low-middle class with no health insurance. But when I was young, my parents could afford to take me to see the doctor without breaking the bank. Charity hospitals were common and often run by religious groups. Doctors were the ones profiting from the years they spent in medical school.
Since then, government stepped in and started "regulating" the health care industry. Lawyers jumped in specializing in litigating against the health care industry. Pharmaceutical and insurance companies have been all over doctors and government pushing for reform that worked best for them. Charity hospitals have all but disappeared and now it is the pharmaceutical and insurance companies profiting most from the doctors' work.
If government intervention into the health care industry has done all this, what makes you think more regulation will help?

Clueless, uninformed, people who don't understand the Constitution and believe the government is a wise and all knowing entity. AND, many politicians.

Austism, fibromyalgia, ADD, new flu and bacterial strains; kidney stones, diabetes, high blood pressure, and digestive problems in increasinly in kids that aren't even overweight; growing to "allergies" to a growing number and variety of "foods"...
Seems like their are more disorders and disease than ever! What if Big Food and Big Pharma are actually the same thing?

We already see them raising the tax on cigarettes and people cheer because of the cost associated with smoking.
But, do people stop to think about what else they will tax the hell out of or make illegal due to "cost" associated with certain activities once the government is in control of the health care system?

My spouse got a positive result from the test kit and we're deciding which hospital to follow through. Government hospital or private hospital? Will there be any subsidy or grant from the government? We're living in Singapore, I'm a Singaporean and my wife is a foreigner. Thanks!
