Discount Medical Scrubs
My 20 month old daughter has a gross habit of waking from her nap and playing with her own feces. I've tried checking on her regularly during her naps to try and catch her before she does it but that only works some of the times, she'll usually do this and then yell for me or her father to come get her. This isn't something she does all the time but it worries me. Her older brothers did it maybe a few times but never after turning 14 months and her older sister did it about six times but stopped before her first birthday. She has no medical problems and I've brought her to the doctor several times to be checked out in case she has put some of it in her mouth but every check up has been normal so it's not really her health I'm worried about. I just get tired of having to scrub her crib, her walls and whatever stuffed animal was in the crib with her when she does this and that's about three or four times a week. I also worry if she'll ever grow out of it.

Discount Medical Scrubs
I broke up with a girlfriend a while back and have been busy with work ever since. I am a 1st year DPM (poditary, aka foot doctor) resident at Penn Presbyterian in Philly. I am just curious, since I don't have time for pretty much anything but work at this point. I basically live at the hospital and work about 70 hours, give or take, a week.
Do you guys think if I walk around with my work clothes on, like the typical hospital doctor attire, scrubs, etc...and my badge that says my name, then DPM (Doctor of Podiatric Medicine)...would good-looking and/or high-quality women be more drawn to me than how I walk around now in my basic clothes? My friends all think being a doctor is all glamorous, but as a first year in a busy, city hospital it's anything but. I have to do rotations every day for some people who are either very sick or just uninsured, neglecting of their health...and I'm kind of burnt-out as it is, so a girl would be great at this point.
Do you guys think I would up my chances if I constantly walk around in my surgical gear, scrubs, etc. and girls would be more attracted to me cuz they'd see I am a doctor? I mean...that's a profession girls are drawn to, right?
Thanks for any feedback.

I came across this article. Do you feel that this could be a case of racism in the health care industry? Can you relate to this? Let me know how you feel about this unethical issue.
"[Racism remains a] prime cause of the unequal and racially discriminatory provision of funds for health services; of the over-crowding of the ill- equipped black hospitals and the underutilization of white hospitals; of miserable housing, gross pollution, poor sanitation, and lack of health care . . . . [Racism] in consequence, is the underlying structure causing the dreadful burden of excess morbidity and mortality, much of it preventable, that is borne by the black population. These health-specific effects are superimposed on the more general consequences of [racism] which bars the majority of [African-american] citizens from participating in decisions on the allocation of resources for health or other needs. We believe that the . . . [American] health care system is, in consequence, fundamentally flawed. Fragmentation and duplication of services . . . . is costly and inefficient. . . . For the majority of the black population, the whole spectrum of health services (but most urgently, primary care) is inadequate. Entire generations suffer through much of their life-times. . . . Even if. . . [racism] ended tomorrow, their effects on health would persist for [generations], in part because of the health consequences of the profound poverty . . . that [racism] itself has engendered and in part because widespread attitudes that encourage racism, elitism, sexism, a colonialist mentality, and prejudice against the poor take time and commitment to change. . . Clearly, . . . [America] has the ability to reduce markedly, if not eliminate, the serious health problems that exist among the black population. It can, if it chooses, eliminate the institutionalized system of racism and discrimination that have made the country, for decades, a symbol of human rights violations. The task facing. . . [us] is to continue to extend the process that [civil rights reforms] have begun, until profound and lasting improvements in health care . . . are a reality." Elena Nightingale, et al., Apartheid Medicine: Health and Human Rights in South Africa, 264 J.A.M.A. 2097, 2102 (1990). This quote is taken from an article about South Africa with merely name changes from South Africa to the U.S. and Apartheid to Racism, it is equally true about the United States of America.

1. The for profit health care industry has poured billions of our dollars into the pockets of every D.C. politician (all parties) for decades for the sole purpose of protecting it's interests. Does anyone out there think for one minute that anyone working in the federal government would or could stick it to the rich and help the poor? Why would they?
2. If by some miracle real health care reform, say for instance Medicare for everyone, could be achieved how much good could that do without equally sweeping food industry reform. The U.S. food industry produces food-like substances that are ever higher in fat, sugar, salt, carcinogens, steroids, hormones, manipulated genes and that's just what we know about. The only things that aren't in our food anymore are nutrients. How much good would it do for us to fix our health care system if our food industry continues to poison us?
3. Say we wave our magic wand again and provide full access to quality health care and the best, most nutritious food, not only for everyone in the U.S. but everyone in the world. How long will our new paradise last if every individual on the planet continues to think of human reproduction, resource consumption and lifespan as inalienable, individual rights? As long as people continue to live and act as though the Earth's capacity and resources are infinite, we're all screwed. What good would it do for us to fix health care and the food industry if it only leads to our entire species choking on it's own overpopulation?
Aren't we getting it all backwards?
Shouldn't we start by breaking it to everyone on the planet that, before we can hope to have a cleaner, happier world, we'll have to find a way to send the global, human population into a sustained decline?

I did my bachelors in finance. Then i did a graduate certificate in health care informatics. Now i am pursuing my masters in health care law. I still work at a doctors office and would like some guidance in how to utilize my education to get out of my stagnant desk job. Would really appreciate as much help as possible such as areas to look for a different job.,states where health care jobs are better ,median salary after certain amount of time and so on.
Thanks

1) What is health care?
2) Do most of people against it or support it?
3) What is benefit can we have from this
4) What is disadvantage we have
5) What is 'health care industry'?
6) Obama did this?

Whose side are you on ?....Insurance vs. Americahttp://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091012/ap_o…
If big Insuracne is against it, and they are creating phony reports to assert things that aren't true,.. doesn't that help reinforce which side you should be on ?
They've changed from trying to influence the health care reform, to trying to derail it altogether. Apparently there weren't enough "freebies" in it for them to loosen their tentacle grip on congress.
