Thinking about changing career paths, intrested in nursing. What skills must I have to be accepted into a nursing program.
Hello, i live in colorado and im currently at a community college getting my pre req's done. If i hold a 3.0+ or better GPA, do you think it will be hard to get into a nursing program?
If it helps i would like to get into REGIS, its in Colorado
in other words what would happen to a child if you gave it up?
I'm really nervous. I've gotten all As so far and now I'm doing really bad in anatomy. If I end up with a C in anatomy but the rest of my grades are As will the C matter? Do they look at your overall gpa? The school I'm planning to apply for says C or higher but I know most people do better and it's very competitive.
I currently attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa and my major right now is "pre-nursing." I am starting my second year in college this fall semester and I have checked up on the website for requirements and such but am not totally sure if I am doing everything necessary to get into the nursing school. I have heard that to get into UH's nursing school, it is very difficult, so I'd like to do everything right. Can someone please help me explain what I should do and if possible, someone who has experienced entering nursing school.
So far, I have taken:
Chemistry 161
Math 140 (Precalculus)
Biology 101
English 100
Psychology 100
History 151
History 152
Spanish 202
For the fall semester, I am taking Microbiology 130 and 140, Ethnic Studies, and Religion
Thank you to whoever answers my question and taking the time to read it
I had average grades in high school. I am going to pharmacy tech school now and then I plan on going to a community college to become an RN.
I want to either go to UCF or Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to get a BSN. I know those are both difficult schools to get into.
What should I do starting now to help my chances of getting into those schools?
Im currently going through a diversion program for a felony, after I pay restitution and a course, they will erase my background, Im trying to get into either a tech school or community college for a practical nursing program and they conduct background checks, will having something in my background keep me from getting in the school or only certain offenses like drug charges for instance ?
Thanks
i have a 3.2 now, im trying to be a nurse first then a doctor and i plan to work hard the next 2 semesters and get at least a 3.5, (im really hoping!), do you think if i dont get a 3.5 i wouldnt get into there nursing school? i do to much commmunity service, i volunteer at a hospital and i coach tennis, and many other things so thats not a problem
I have a 3.7 gpa and only have 2 classes left until I can transfer to a nursing program to get my bachelors in nursing. I live in San Diego and to get into SDSU in a long shot. Any suggestions? I'm willing to move anywhere.
