Nurses And Other Hospital Staff, What Would Be The Most Meaningful Way To Thank You?

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

My Father is in Stage 4 of non small cell lung cancer. The onset was very quick. When he was in the Hospital the nurses and other staff were so kind. I feel like they went well beyond their duty to comfort the family as well as taking care of my Dad. I want to send some kind of significant Thank You to them. I can't send a Thank You card to each and every nurse, phlebotomist, aide, housekeeping and ect. Would a nice bouqet of flowers with a letter explaing how thankfull and comforting their service was suffice? I just want them to know what a difference they meant to us.

Why Would You Want Government Running Your Health-care?

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

When you consider how well they manage our budgets, handle our debt, educate our children, maintain our infrastructure, handle foreign affairs, protect our borders, manage social security, manage medicaid and protect us from fire, flood and crime?
Why would I leave my life long health-care options to the whims of this administration or the next?
Why would I want the price of my private coverage to increase due to the new taxes imposed on it pay for the public option?
Why would I want to give government the right to force me into paying for the public plan if I have no other option?
Why would I even think to give our government another chance at a health-care over-haul when the last one gave us HMO's? Thanks Hillary!
Why after the debacle this administration has made of the auto industry would I ever trust them to do better with the health-care industry?
Why after the debacle this administration has made of the banking industry would I ever trust them to do better with the health-care industry?
Why is congress exempting themselves from the public option?
Why is congress exempting federal unions from the public option?
Is this a republic or an autocracy?

What Would You Recommend To The Hospital And Staff About Myocardial Infarction?

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Why don't you pull out your Med-Surg text book and research the answer... Just like I had to do when I was in Nursing School... If people just give you the answer then you will NEVER learn anything. You've got to research and absorb the material!!!!!! Remember, you are not an RN until you pass the NCLEX!!! You'll have to study hardcore to pass it... it's not easy... Good Luck... now hit the books

Why Would The Entire Staff At A State Mental Hospital Have These Personality Traits?

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

It is funny because the people who do things to provoke a response believe they can do whatever they desire or want to do, with complete disregard for others. They lack the ability to properly empathize with patients who have depression.
So, aren't the symptoms of a psychopath the inability to empathize with others? Isn't another symptom behaving with a complete disregard for others?
They also tend to have a belief that they are more important than their patients. What personality disorder is that a symptom of?

Which Would Be A Better Health Care System?

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

A or B
A) Focusing on preventative health care
B) Focusing on treatment
(Although both would be nice, I purposely did not make it an option)
*The term "better" would mean two things: good for the health care industry and/or good for the population in general.
