Any One Knows Of Hospitals In The Area That Will Pay For Your Tuition For Nursing School If You Work For Them?

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

I have 10yrs medical experience (EMT, MA) but at this time no longer have a certification for either. I can not afford school out of pocket and at this time can not qualify for a loan. I am really wanting to get back in the Medical field.

What Did The Hospital Do For You And Your Stillborn Baby?

Monday, December 21st, 2009

I recently gave birth to a still born baby and the hospital staff, especially the nurses were great. They gave me a cute little box and made a little keepsake book for me, they made hand and foot molds of my son for me, took professional pictures for free, and of course let me spend as much time with my baby as I wanted. So I was wondering what other hospitals do for mothers, and family, and their stillborn babies.

Why Does The Hospital Staff Ask You ” What Is Your Religion ? ” While You’re In Labor?

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

They did not ask me while I was in labor but it was part of my pre-admission paperwork after we selected a hospital.
From my perspective it is in the event that you want a priest, rabbi, monk or someone else to come and speak with you, offer a blessing or support you in some sort of worst case scenario. After religion, I was asked if I would like to have someone meet with me during my stay.
ETA - the hospital we went to was not a religiously affiliated hospital. I also wanted to add that my daughter is a cardiac patient at a non-denominational children's hospital and they always ask us the same questions when she is admitted - religion and if we would like to have someone visit us.

Based On Your Own Family’s Experience, What Do You Think We Should Do To Improve Health Care In America?

Friday, November 20th, 2009

There was soo many answers to Hillary Clinton's question that they all sounded the same.
We all want healthcare to work efficiently. But we know that Government Buearacracy will slow it down. Although the intention is good you underestimate one thing...Human Nature. It was good will that put FEMA into existence. Remember Katrina? It was good will that enacted Social Security. Is it working? When Human Nature takes over don't expect the health care industry to get any better under Government Control.
Why did the fore-fathers create a system of government with overlapping powers and checks and balances? Because they understood human nature. They created a system which counted on our human nature...a government that would be to busy fighting itself and less time oppressing the people. So the answer for an effective Healthcare is use elements of human nature...greed, ambition, and capitalism. Skillfully put these elements together and you will have the optimal health care system.

Why Would You Want Government Running Your Health-care?

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

When you consider how well they manage our budgets, handle our debt, educate our children, maintain our infrastructure, handle foreign affairs, protect our borders, manage social security, manage medicaid and protect us from fire, flood and crime?
Why would I leave my life long health-care options to the whims of this administration or the next?
Why would I want the price of my private coverage to increase due to the new taxes imposed on it pay for the public option?
Why would I want to give government the right to force me into paying for the public plan if I have no other option?
Why would I even think to give our government another chance at a health-care over-haul when the last one gave us HMO's? Thanks Hillary!
Why after the debacle this administration has made of the auto industry would I ever trust them to do better with the health-care industry?
Why after the debacle this administration has made of the banking industry would I ever trust them to do better with the health-care industry?
Why is congress exempting themselves from the public option?
Why is congress exempting federal unions from the public option?
Is this a republic or an autocracy?
